Many patients come to 42 because their own dentist has suggested specialist or more complex treatment.

We understand that being referred can sometimes feel uncertain, especially if you are not sure what to expect. Our role is to make the process clearer and calmer.

We take time to explain what has been recommended and why. We then carry out our own careful assessment before agreeing a plan together with you. Nothing is rushed, and nothing is assumed.

We work closely with referring dentists throughout your care, keeping them informed and ensuring that everyone involved understands what has been recommended, what has been done and why.

Once treatment is complete, most patients return to their general dentist for ongoing routine care and maintenance. Where appropriate, and if recommended, some patients may choose to continue their care with us.

For more than twenty years, patients have attended our Notting Hill practice for general, restorative and specialist dental care.

Established in 2003, 42 was one of the UK’s first multidisciplinary dental practices, bringing together clinicians across different areas of dentistry so that, where appropriate, treatment can be planned together rather than in isolation.

Our practice is based in a building that has long been part of the local community. It was once a doctors’ surgery and still carries that sense of calm, considered care.

Whatever brings you here, the approach is always the same. We begin by listening, then examining carefully, and only then explaining in clear language what we have found. Treatment decisions come after understanding, not before it.

We only recommend treatment when we believe it is appropriate and in your best interests. We take time to explore and explain all suitable options clearly, including their benefits, limitations and alternatives, so you can ask questions and choose the approach that feels right for you with confidence. You will never feel rushed or pressured into making a decision.
